If you're new to land comms or lj, feel free to ask no matter how silly it may seem!!!
RULES, FAQ’S, ETC
1. Be Nice. : No bashing of other members, other teams, actors, characters etc. Everyone has the right to have an opinion, just don't try force yours on anyone else.
2. Participate. There will be at least one easy challenge/discussion/team activity every fortnight for you to be able to. If you don’t, you will be removed from the comm. This is so that the teams don’t have too many people at once who aren’t participating, giving them a disadvantage. You are ALWAYS welcome to go on hiatus for up to a month, or leave and reapply with the intent on rejoining your old team.
3. No Spoilers. Don’t place story-altering spoilers in a place where anyone can see them. New TV shows should be allowed a Week on ANY information, Movies and Books a Month. Use your judgement – just because you don’t mind a spoiler doesn’t mean that someone else doesn’t. If in doubt, post somewhere else & link & label, or ASK.
What’s a Sig-Tag?
A sig tag makes it more helpful for me to tally challenges (so its obvious what team you are on) and something pretty for you. They are graphics of no more than 300x150 in dimensions, and you can attach them to the bottom of your entries. If you don’t wish to use a sig tag, you can use a team icon instead.
You receive an extra point on most challenges when you use your sig tag or Icon.
Why is it in this timezone?
It's listed in EST because there needs to be a timezone. There are a number of timezone converters on the web and if you need help with converting please ask your team (or me).
What fandoms can you use?
Fantasy is a genre of fiction that uses magic and other supernatural phenomena as a primary element of plot, theme, or setting. Many works within the genre take place in imaginary worlds where magic is common. Fantasy is generally distinguished from science fiction and horror by the expectation that it steers clear of (pseudo-)scientific and macabre themes, respectively, though there is a great deal of overlap between the three (which are subgenres of speculative fiction).
If it’s fantasy, you can use it.
THE OFFICAL LIST
Scifi fandoms with MAJOR FANTASY elements are acceptable but straight sci-fi is not.
